RILM & RID3131 has signed MoU with SPPU is for 5 years, to literate the adult illeterates.NSS volunteers are expected to make an Illiterate Adult, literate in 3 months as per the syllabus in Primer. Total number of volunteers in different colleges of SPPU are more than 50000. If even 10% of them take up this assignment then under their "Each One Teach One" scheme, 5000 adults can become literate in a year. Target of our District for RY 2021 - 22 is 5000 & that of RILM is 1 crore. RILM has extended its support to GoI to make India fully literate by 2025 - 26 with target of 6 cr. for Rotary India.As per RILM, a Club's name be printed on Primer if it invests for atleast 1000 copies. Dist. Literacy Team expects atleast 40/50 clubs in our RID 3131 to participate in this Social cause ( minimum 100 by small, 500 by medium & 1000 by larger clubs ). RC Poona West has opted to contribute INR 1,00,000 towards printing of 1000 work books .
